College students serving as Leadership Mentors in NHRI are among the top leaders at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Their acceptance to NHRI indicates their high-level of human relations capital (the ability to develop positive relationships). Most Leadership Mentors take ALEC 102, a UNL course taught by NHRI's Interim Program

Director, Nick Knopik, that focuses on the development of positive relationships, as well as identifying and developing strengths in others. Click here to learn more about the NHRI Class.

In addition to their NHRI training, Leadership Mentors have a long history of leadership across campus, dating back to our founding in 1949.
